Note: There have been many engineering changes in this transmission since its introduction. ATSG also has available an "Update Handbook" (83-A604-41TE-U1) which includes the many changes and is required along with this manual for a proper overhaul or repair.

Note: The A604 is the 41TE and 41AE AWD. The 40TE is a light duty version of A604. All are transverse. A606 is the is the 42LE FWD inline.
